Hello!

I was so excited this year as we got 3 bourbon poults. Got them through the brooder stage and out on grass. Lost two when a family of raccoons moved in and took advantage of a hole we didn't notice in our pen. So now we only have one turkey that will stay with us past October. How can we help keep her happy till next Spring when we can get more poults and they get big enough to introduce to the flock?

Check your local craigslist and perhaps even post a wanted ad. You can also check with the local feed stores and see if they can put you in touch with local turkey owners. There are still local turkeys available for purchase and they are likely to be around the same age as your own turkey.

Good luck in finding companions for your poult.
