Kentucky!!!

Speaking of DE, Brahma-momma, you wouldn't know where to get some here would you? Southern States folks looked at me like I was crazy when I inquired about it. They didn't know what I was talking about and I didn't know any other way to describe it other than it's full name and DE.

I got mine from Woodford Feed in Versailles.

http://www.woodfordfeed.com/

It's only about 15-20 minutes from Lexington, and it's very easy to find because it's right on of Versailles Rd. in Versailles. It was $45 for 50 pounds, but the bag is so huge I think it will last forever! If you get some from there, definitely call first because I bought the last bag a couple weeks ago...I don't know how often they get it in. They knew exactly what I was talking about when I asked! When I asked at Tractor Supply they looked at me like I had two heads...

I just noticed you're in Somerset, that's a long drive to Versailles, but not too bad if you come to Lexington to shop or something and go pick it up then...

I'm in the same situation with DE as you are with the feed...Too far to drive with these gas prices up. With my gas guzzler it would cost me twice as much.

cthrash1 -

I had to order mine, since no one around here knew what it was either, Lowes tried to sell me the other kind of DE.

I got a 25 pound bag from Custom Milling, and the shipping is about equal to the price, but the 25 pound bag will probably last me a good 6 months, easily. I've hardly made a dent in it. It cost about 17 bucks - with a 17 bucks ship - so around 35 bucks total, but they shipped it right out, got here within two or three days. (fedex or ups, can't recall which)

check out custommilling.com

They had 50 pound bags, too - don't recall the cost of those.

btw - I'm still trying to see if hubby needs anything from Barlows for his tractor <g>. He's mentioned a couple of parts he might need. I'll let ya know when I find out.

Peace -

Does anyone in the Lexington area have Corid on hand that I could buy from you? Or do you know where I could get it around here? I called TSC in Nicholasville and they said they don't carry it. I also asked Southern States and they don't carry it either.

Two of my pullets have cocci. I treated them with Sulmet but the cocci came back, so I'm pretty sure I need the Corid. I'm afraid if I order it online it'll be too late by the time it gets here!

Reporting from Morgantown! Small place, you know?
