I recently heard of this through an orginazation called CAN
Central Appalachian Network .
There is somethi8ng called a carbon point and basically you can be PAID money ( not sure how much , but a mention of 5-10 per acre was given and not sure if that was yearly or monthly ) for having a tree farm on your property.
I really think this is GREAT !!!!!

I will be the wet blanket.... This is dumb.... There are already more trees in the US than there were 100 years ago... I am glad so many people are appreciative of your efforts Nifty and you have a great website, and if you want to spend your time doing this...well it's your time....

I want clean air and water as much as anyone else... but this is silly. We are so beholden to the environmental movement it has gotten out of hand. I won't stray into other areas other than to say $4 gas....

Congrats on getting a project of yours done, but in my opinion was a waste of your precious time.....but if it makes you feel better about yourself....well even a Nifty-Chicken needs self esteem....
