I would have left the hobbles on him for a week or until his posture showed he didn't need them anymore, and you can make some quick shoes out of good quality painters tape just put a piece on top of his foot and a piece on bottom and cut to size after. It won't cut off circulation and will fall off by itself usually in a couple of days but will hold toes in place.

Well, he's back in the hobble, but has no balance. His little head wobbles continuously which I think throws his balance off even more and all toes are straight now, except one, which I work with daily. Thank you for checking in with him. I'm praying he'll grow out of it all and become a beautiful and stately peacock someday!!
