I heard that Khaki Campbells lay as well as a chicken. I have Muscoveys and her eggs are almost all yolk. What are Khaki eggs like? Are they as prolific as a chicken? I am intrigued by the reputation of the breed!

My khakis have always laid everyday and their eggs are delicious and a similar size to my chicken eggs - my husband loves them fried and will always choose a duck egg for breakfast.

khaki's are great, and boy do they lay. I got 4 this am, waiting for my last hen to lay. I have six in the bator, so hopefully they hatch too. Duck eggs are very rich and if you do a lot of baking they are the best, they are pretty much a dual purpose duck for eggs and meat.

If you do - then try for the white ones as well as the usual khaki colour. Ours is a real character and quite confident - more so than the many khaki ones we have had in the past.
