i have 10 khakis about 3 months old. I can't get a video of their sounds since they all tell for the camera and it's hard to separate the sound. I know the drakes get a dark head so I'm not sure if it's still to early. I have a couple pictures of a few of them. I'll post another in the comments.

Along with the male ducks quack being raspy compared to the females, another way to tell the difference between male and female ducks is that there's a little curl at the end of the tail on the males while on the females, its flat.

See how on the females there's no curl?

Hopes this helps

I'm looking for the same type of information. My nephew got a duck from the feed store and was told it was a male Khaki Campbell. He got it to accompany a baby mallard he'd found while out hunting. Subsequently the mallard died and he asked if he could put his with mine (after seeing his cute babies, I wanted some for my pond so they were all about the same age). After a week with him assuring me he still wanted it, I decided to just tell him I'd adopted it. And since he never gave him a name and we'd been referring to him simply as "Nick's Duck," I decided to just call him Nuck. So, as Nuck got older, my neighbor kept insisting he wasn't a Khaki Campbell drake, rather Rouen hen. At the time, "he" didn't have the green head. Just this past week, his head has started turning green. He's almost three months old now. Can anyone confirm that A) he's actually a khaki Campbell, and B) that's he's a he? Thanks!

Well, I'm 99.9% sure hes a male considering the green head and body coloring. I myself have two Rouens and I'm pretty sure he's not a Rouen. I'd say he's a khaki Campbell because his body has a brown tint to it but I don't have a khaki so I can't completely confirm it but he looks like it to me.

Thank you so much! Until I posted in here I hadn't really thought about how he looked as a baby. I've been doubtful about him being a Rouen because he lacked the blue but after his head just now started turning green I started wondering if his wings might turn blue. I didn't think they would, but I also didn't think his head would change color, either! However, after realizing the ducklings look totally different, I'm 99.9% sure I agree with you! Lol! Thanks again!

To tanabanana:
Here's a picture of a Rouen next to a Khaki Campbell. The Rouen has a yellow bill, the KC a blue/ gray bill.
