My khaki campbells, hatched in May, recently started laying. They lay the tiniest eggs! I don't know if it's because they are new layers or if this is normal for KCs. The eggs are smaller than my smallest LF chicken eggs and about a third the size of my Blue Swedish duck eggs. I have never had KCs and wondering if this is normal for them. I always heard they were great layers, but if egg size doesn't improve with age they may need to find a home somewhere else.

:frow My ducks all started out laying small eggs and they’ve gradually gotten larger. I’d give it a month or more before expecting full size eggs. Good luck!

Thanks! I definitely don't expect them to be as large as the eggs from my Blue Swedish, but they were shockingly small! I also found one in the kiddie pool today when I cleaned it, so they definitely have a few kinks to work out. For now I will be happy they have started laying.

I have KC too, and mine have started laying really tiny eggs at first. Right now they are normal sizes like chicken eggs. But from other people I've talked to that's normal for that breed. Then they will level out.
