I have had a khaki campbell duck approx 1 year old for about a month and she has not laid one egg - Any suggestions as to why or when? On the other hand the muscovy has laid an egg every day since she arrived.

When I first adopted my adult ducks, it took about 2 months for them to get comfortable in their new home and start laying.

Any large disruption in their lives can keep them from laying. My ducks stopped laying for 2 weeks because we introduced babies into the adult flock, then changed feed, then I sold a few ducks, and then the temps were in the 90s for a week. It was a bit too much for them, I think.

Beginning to think the reason I am not getting any eggs is that I actually have two females, since moulting they both have beautiful green heads are roughly the same size and look like they have a wee curl in their tail.

Sorry males that's what I actually meant to write. yes excactly this explains the no eggs! I thought for all this time it was a drake and a duck but pretty sure they are two boys now.

The only solution is to go get these handsome young gentlemen some girlfriends right away! (2 each ought to do it
