Poultry color names can be so confusing, the standard calls it chocolate but it is really dun.

Which would be okay if there weren't also a gene named choc

What does "dun" mean exactly in english? It resembles the dutch "verdunning" which means dilution, but I believe it is named after the one who discovered it. But in which species? It is used in horses, pigeons etcetera.
 
Here in the US dun is a color of brown found in horses, well atleast I am pretty sure because dun horses have been around longer than dun chickens.

Sooran, your chick does look more khaki or even a nice, soft light dun color. Did you breed for that color or did it pop out unexpectedly?
