Hello....The reason to separate is either they will be trampled by Momma while she tries to protect them or brutally shook by the Drake...You need more Hens...I'm also getting rid of young Drakes

You can but only if you have other Hens trying to bother the Hen setting or depositing more eggs in her nest...Totally your choice...
