Kicking eggs out of nest???

So I've got a broody BO that I posted about last week that I decided to put some eggs under. I took the advice of a poster and marked the 11 eggs I put under her. I marked them 1-11 just so I don't count one twice or something.

Anyway, went to check on her this morning and egg #3 was in a completely different nesting box!! Did she kick it out? Did another chicken steal it? And how in the hell did they manage to get it up and over the lip of the nest boxes???

I had a broody who kept pushing out a fake egg from the nest box, but your story take things a step further.

I have herd of geese pushing out the nonviable eggs from the nest, but I don't know if chickens do that or not.

She may have kicked it out and another girl put it in another nest box.

My broody kicked an egg out and I did a quick candle on it and found it was infertile. Amazing how she knew the one that wasn't fertile and got rid of it. Anyhow, candle that egg and see what's going on.
