Kid-Speak

I just remembered the other day when I was napping on the couch and he was sitting next to me playing, he said "mom, your making noise" I was snoring

2 year-old turned off t.v. and laid on couch. 5 year-old turned t.v back on. 2yo said "No. I sleeping!" 5yo says "I'll get earmugs!" and ran off and came back with invisible earmugs.

My DD says lellow for yellow too. When my youngest was born and still breast feeding she had the yellow poopies. So when I would change her my 4 year old would come up and say "It's got lellow dodo's?" I I would say "Yes it has lellow dodo's." then she would pat the little one on the head and say "Congratulastions! You got lellow dodo's!" LOL

ETA: once the little one got a little bit of the runs and it was slightly grey in color. When the 4 yr old saw it she asked what color that was. (She has almost all the colors down but the ones you don't see often she's still learning.) So I explained to her the baby has a little bit of the runs and it just happened to be grey. Well she herself got a bit of the runs and came to me from the bathroom with her panties around her ankles saying, "Mommy! I have grey dodo's!(it wasn't grey!) Sussume the susition!" When she was learning to potty train and neede help wiping I would tell her to "assume the position" which would mean to bend over and touch the ground so I could help her wipe. She does pretty well wiping on her own but if she has loose BM's I still need to help her, other wise she get's it all over her hands! LOL!

My 4 y/o says Chicken Little (like the movie) as chicken noodle.

He also says co-pluting instead of polluting...as in "Mooooom, Grampa co-pluted!!'

What else? There are so many!

When DD was about 5 I told her to shape up. She dropped to the ground, on her hands and knees and said, "look, Im a square". It was so cute I couldnt be mad anymore!

My kids are 7 & 9 and they still come up with good ones!

"Mom, she's porking (poking) me!"

"Dr. CoCrotch (Cockroach) from the movie Monsters vs. Aliens"

"Are there loaches (leeches) in the river?"

"When can we go back to Apricot (Epcot) at Disneyworld?"

Sometimes it takes me a while to figure out what they're even talking about.

Our dog herbert/herbie = seebee (he was hit by a car in the middle of the night when Ducky was almost 6 and we can't mention his name because 5 years later she still bursts into tears)

Ducky also called her grandmother Lolo because she couldn't say Lois.

My godless daughter couldn't say Cheryl. Che called me should-a I was very sad when she stopped calling me that

Pete and Repete called each other brudder. As in "brudder, come - baby eata mama's boob"

someone taught Yoda to say "i'm parched, might I have a beverage?" before he turned 3. He talked in sentences before he walked - he was a late walker. He was also taught to say "I'm a little tree hugger"

My daughter-
Cheerios = dodos
Giraffe-= pa-jaffe
Peanutbutter = Beanba
Manure = Manoo

My son..
broccoli = blockli
Throat= float

he had so many more.. but the funniest thing I remember is him saying " My float hurts" as he was holding his tummy.
I said " thats your belly, not your throat"
He says " Oh!! Then I have a bellylake in my float"

When my son was very little, I would try to sing to him but he would cover my mouth with his hand. What a critic!
