Well, so these are actually 1-year-old laying hens, but I thought "Kids and chicks" had a certain ring to it! Hubby and I built a chicken tractor for our 12 heavy layers. Moving the tractor twice a day and supplementing with some laying pellets seems to be just the ticket to keep the flock healthy and happy. Yesterday, the grandboys were taking a closer look at the hens.
