We lost 2 chicks at 5 weeks when one kid squeezed one and the other tried to get one to fly and then tried to see if it would bounce. This morning I go out to find a 7 week old chick skinned and muddy. I think it slipped out when my husband opened the coop to feed them and our dog must have 'caught' it. Now I notice the wire is pulled back around the bottom, but not enough to allow entry. What can we do to get the dog to leave them alone? We are pretty sure the skunks are trying unsucessfully to get in.
