Our little one called chapstick- patchstick til she was 6.

My nephew Anthony was Anu to his older brother for years and Lindsey was Lizney.

My favorite story was the night that we were having pasta for dinner and our 18 month old tipped her whole bowl on top of her head to which 9 yr old ds quickly replied...now it really IS angel hair pasta!

Today for the first time my son asked for a popsicle instead of a pockcycle. I almost cried!

My 8 year old and I went to the movies to see Transformers 2 (excellent movie by the way), and I try to keep him from seeing so much smut that is out there everywhere you look, and didn't realize what a good job I was doing. In one part the old transformer gets beat all to heck, and he is blown up pretty badly, and hanging low are two balls on wiring or something . . .I didn't think a thing about it until I casually looked over at DS and he had his hand in front of his face saying, "oh gosh, I don't think I am suppose to see this part!!" It didn't even dawn on me what it looked like until he said that and I took another look!!! Ha.

My neice alway wanted a sucker anytime we went into a store but she could not pronounce her S sound she pronounced them as the F sound. Every store we went onto it was "SUCKER! SUCKER! SUCKER!" but with the F sound. We carried a bag of dum dums at all times.


My friend Amy has a daughter that is 2 she calls coca cola coca lala.

Me too. It was one of his last little-kiddisms. He still says "goed" instead of "went". That will probably be the last he gets right.

When my oldest son was about 3...we'd go camping and swimmng alot. He was not afraid of water. He'd jump in the pool and we'd go catch him...I tried sitting him down and telling him he could drown. He said, "I can't drown, I haven't learned how to yet." He thought that until he was about 6 or 7. We finally got him to understand. (He's now 12 and can swim like a fish)

My now 9 yr old learned about DARE..not doing drugs when he was about 6. One day, he all of a sudden says, "Mom, sometimes MaMa goes to the drug store." LOL After laughing hysterically for about 5 mins or so, I had to explain to him that the drugs she had to take was for her health.

At bedtime, my (then) 3 yr. old daughter would get all the way under the covers and exclaim, "I'm under the neath!"

Just recently, I was subbing in Headstart. I was leaning over helping a little girl open her milk. My cross necklace was dangling in front of her so she touched it and said, "That's from Jesus." I said, "Yes, it is!" She paused for a moment and then said, "They killed him." I said, "Yes. Do you know why?" She gave it some thought and then said, "He didn't make good choices?" How adorable is that!?
