OK, so I guess I waited a little bit last minute. But my kids have a poultry show on Saturday. I really want to teach my kids to do it correctly. We've had their birds in separate cages for about two months to get them pretty. But what do I do now?

When do I bathe them? And what with. I have that VetRx but no clue what it's for or what I'm supposed to do with it. A breeder told me about it so I bought it.

I know I need to do something with their beaks cut their nails and I believe also the knob on their leg. Sorry I have a brain fart so I can't think of what it's called.

The boys are showing black Rose Combs. I know their feathers are very very delicate so I'm not even sure what to do.

The girls are both showing Cochin bantams. One has a barred cock and one has a silver laced hen. How do I make them look any more pretty than they already are?

Honestly the silver laced is not that pretty. Bummer.

Thanks for any and all help.

You should bath them a week befour the show.
You put washing liquid into lukewarm water and then
Wash them off in plain lukewarm water.
Rub the feathers with a towel in the direction of the feathers
And then dry them with a hairdryer
Cut their toe nails with a nail clippers
Barley cut them as there is blood vains in their nails.
I'm not sure about how to trim the beak.
Befour a show put petroleum jelly on their feet beaks and comb to shine them up.
Just a small bit as you don't want a lump of it going onto the judges hands :)
Also check the bird for any bit of dirt and run off the dirt
Gently with a baby wipe

Goodluck with them
Fionn.
