I got them all vaccinated for lymes, so than they got the other kind of diseases like anaplasmosis. There's a few other ones, and a few they haven't identified yet. So the vaccine helped, but yet it didn't, so I stopped it. I had at one time a hundred chickens running amok, and a batch of muscovy, but it only takes one or two ticks.
Oh wow that’s terrible! I’m sure it’s hard too with all that land. Lots to clear haha our property isn’t that big so it’s easier for them to get them probably haha I’m sure the woods are still loaded with them though; we just had a couple big huge bucks come through yesterday so the deer are still around, but the chickens keep the actual yard and the edges of the woods clear at least which was nice when we still had Gator.

So here are two of our "Boys" ... Bear & Bodhi. Both are approx 8 as well.
Bear will sit still for a photo op....

Or when he's done for the day

Bodhi, can't seem to sit still long enough. I snuck up on him with this shot (only took me 12 or 13 previous attempts)
PSX_20200902_233439.jpg Everybody is a mess from yesterday's 6+ inch's of rain too.

I could add *Better *boy dog shots later
Or *Bird *Brained shots
Or *Burned, *Baked, *Broiled, *Broken, *Bottled, *Blanketed, *Brushed, *Braided, *Bloated, *Belted, *Beaned, *Brash, or even *Belated?

Don't know why it's so bad here. The vets see a constant stream of dogs with tick diseases. I'm guessing it's probably because our winters are more mild than they used to be, so more ticks winter over, and more deer winter over. We have a lot of trees and shrubs in our yard, so ticks are right in the yard.

That’s so sad 😭 I hope that doesn’t happen here! The ticks have been worse here lately too, like more of them, because our winters have been getting milder too and hardly any snow last year, so I hope our area doesn’t develop those diseases  I’m sure we already have them here but hope they don’t get worse. Although most of the people I know with dogs are very careful to put prevention on but I guess even with prevention one could still bite. Around here mosquitoes are worse. We have EEE bad here usually.

I found a tiny little tick on my hand earlier.
Flushed the snit down the toilet and tried to resist the urge to jump into the shower and violently scrub myself to do away with any other unwanted little creepy-crawlies.
I can't stand ticks....
The tiny ones are the worst! Hope you washed your hands well!!
