So, there's this place nearby that started out doing pony rides but now has lots of other animals like cows, ducks, chickens, donkeys, exotic birds, ect. I saw they also had this large shed like thing that had some rabbits, mice, and maybe some other animals. All being kept in quite horrible condition. All the other animals looked well taken care of but these were in tent tiny cages with no hay, limited water, and no toys. Recently I've been doing a lot of research in rabbits and I'm now writing an article on them. Well, now I was thinking I could save up a bunch of money to help renovate that area. I was thinking I could clean everthing out, empty the room, bunny proof, setup some playpens (unless I could bond them all), get lots of toys and hidey houses, tunnels, decorate it and maybe paint it (before ofc), an setup how ever many large tanks for the mice and rats. I'll have to do more research on them but I know there needs to be at least a couple of them together. And really big cages. Then I'll show them how to properly care for them all.

Two problems though, 1) I'm not sure how how to get the money exactly, 2) I'm a bit young..

Any ideas?
Walk away, don't look back and forget the place exists.

Most youth organizations have provisions for service projects of that scale - including fund-raising. Are you a member of Scouts or 4H? If not, do you know someone who is? It would make an awesome Eagle, Gold or Clover Award Project. You would be a great resource for them - and part of the labor they're supposed to recruit.
The other option is to approach the owners and offer to do the planning and labor if they'll supply the materials. However you approach them, be sure to make it positive ... as in, "Everything else hear looks so nice and the animals look so happy. I'd love to help you fix up the small animals are, too. If you supply the materials, I'll donate my time!"
If they let you, let us know. I'll be happy to share ideas on how to get youth organizations (and pet stores!) to help with donations. I'm sure others here have good ideas, too - and you could write a cool article about it for BYC - complete with pictures!
It is a wonderful idea! As long as you get the owners permission then like she said check out to see if there is any organization's willing to help. Fundraisers is an excellent idea...anything from bake sales to selling homemade dog treats to drawing portraits of people's pets to car washes to a pet salon/spa.

Most places will donate supplies, too - like toys or a small gift certificate. Our WalMart donates a $20 card to the first X number of valid causes/organizations that ask, each month. PetSmart, PetCo and TSC do similar things. One of the best fundraisers our 4H ever did was a Pet Basket raffle - every donation, from leashes to budgie vitamins to a box of cat litter - had a business card attached to it. It was free advertising for both the givers and the camp that benefited. We even had home-made treats from one of the local cat rescues, which included a stack of flyers for our table. Hopefully, some kitties got new homes through our efforts to support 4H camp.
A word of caution, though, most places require permission and possibly a permit to conduct a raffle and nearly all have guidelines. Those are usually easy to get and/or follow, but avoiding that vital step could be very embarrassing ... and expensive!

There's a guy here local that comes into Food Lion with his malti-poo-whatever thing on his shoulder.

It looks absolutely ridiculous and the poor pup always looks like it would rather be in actual hell.
In a grocery store!? 🤢🤮

Exactly! I used to be super allergic to dogs and I couldn't really go in pet stores with all the dogs. Otherwise I would start sneezing a bunch. Both my dogs are hypoallergenic though.
I would never bring a rambunctious, say, golden retriever into a store other than petsmart or home depot.
It depends on the dog cause there’s plenty of calm, gentle Goldens and bigger dogs and plenty of obnoxious little terror small dogs lol I know what you mean though.

All of the stores around here are generous when it comes to asking for things too...well at least most of them. Thats a good idea too.

In other news.... 2 volcanos have erupted this morning.
1) near/ in Guatemala, on the west coastline.
2) Indonesian islands

Both appear to still showing flow and occasional pyroclastic blasts

And Marco is now officially a hurricane.... Laura keeps chugging along thru the islands....
