I wondered about that too. I searched online but no one seems to know for sure. Mine have done fine. I haven’t noticed damage or anything.
They even have different skin tones.

I just checked again.
I'm not touching the egg...just sneaking the flash light next to it real quick.
I think I can see the membrane torn open...where the beak is poking through!
Boy is that neat to see!
