If someone hasn't already mentioned this --- Toss those RED VENT PLUGS in your trash can! :D
Do you see these holes?
There are 8 on the top/lid and 8 on the bottom of the bator.
Are these 16 holes not enough?

THANKS...
Both?
Do it now?

In MY opinion, yes. But let some others chime in if they think you should keep them.

Some are for air intake, some are for release. Proper air exchange needs to happen.

If you take out the plugs, watch your humidity. It will fluctuate for a bit before re-stabilizing. Don't panic. It will settle back in, could be a little higher or lower, but let it stabilize before making any water adjustments.

Some say it's fine to wait until day 10, but it's too much work to remember when to remove them. I think I lost mine sometime last year... never made a difference.

As another thought, you do only have two eggs in there. I really doubt you need more airflow/oxygen for their sake, especially if you're already opening to turn. It's probably more important if you have 40 eggs and an auto turner.

I removed them already but since everything has been working well for me so far(temps and humidity and the actually development) I really think I want to put them back in.
I am not going to stop candling daily.

Be careful with that. There are some who believe that can cause adverse effects... I can't really prove/disprove this, but i will say not a lot changes day to day, if you do one or the other daily, you'll handle them half as much and still have a pretty good idea as to where they are at. Our second incubation lost 4 or so... Probably one every five days? And we couldn't tell until there was a significant difference. (Which has me worried about my current egg #2, hoping it is just a runt)

It takes me all of 4 seconds to candle an egg.
Right now I don't see the problem with handling the egg for this short period of time.
I may change my mind.
