There are about a million feed stores here.
I can get a chick or two without really having to search.

Crapola...I better make plans to go get one tomorrow huh?

My guess is you have a good chance of being accepted into the study abroad program. You seem to have drive and maturity that will come across well.


If he has the chickens for eggs, perhaps he would be convinced to get rid of the mite problem because the hens will lay better.

They let you take just one?
Some of our friendlier feed stores will let tou get away with three... I've never asked for only two yet. Everytime we want a chick, so does a friend...so we end up coming home with like five.
 
I had a baby hatch today, and I have 3 more pipped eggs! I took the Milk Drinker out to look at the eggs and this little one had almost completely zipped. I pointed at it and said "Look, the chickie is hatching" and no sooner did I say that than the chick popped to top off the egg and pull its head out. My son though it was the greatest thing and squealed. He wanted to take the top off the incubator and get at the chick.
