They have made it nearly impossible for anyone other than an American Indian on the tribal rolls to be able to get a permit for a Bald Eagle.
Well, blast.
I'll just settle for a falcon, then, unless I can get my hands on a hawk.
Let me guess -- herons aren't allowed to be kept? Not for falconry, but even just as pets?

Yes it is!! These weirdos here in Cali put avocado on them and call them BLTA. Cheese is much more reasonable on a BLT than avacado!!
I would have called it a BALT rather than a BLTA.

If you want to put cheese on it, fine but it is no longer a BLT then. My body craves gluten so I have no interest in gluten free bread.

I put bacon, lettuce, tomato, salt, pepper and Miracle Whip on toasted wheat bread.

No, no, not for falconry -- just to keep as a pet. I know that they're not raptors.
I jsut love those birds, and would love to keep one.
However, they are wild, and cannot be kept, I assume....
Drat.
The loophole is only for raptors to be used for Falconry.

You can legally have a starling or house sparrow. They are best taken from the nest and hand raised. I believe that I read that starlings can be taught to talk.
