Oh, you're quite right. I figure that at least desktop devices are stationary, and do not contain cameras or microphones (that I know of.) The hardware is also simpler, and easier for me to understand than the myriads of inaccessible small circuits in touchscreens.

definitely some logic to that! i used to have keyboard case for ipad but i try to keep cameras pointing at the floor unless in use
i just hate that I cannot disable all the microphones on electronic devices including desktops as it still seems to pick up conversations!!

Wholeheartedly agreed. If I have to use something with a camera, I tape it over first.

I just go into Device Manager and disable things that I don't want to be able to run.
