Just found this which might be interestingI don't even know.
I didn't even know "gypsy" was a race until a year or so ago when I was told my great grandmother was gypsy not Indian.
I was always told she was Indian.
I thought gypsies were just people who traveled around and lived on the road selling things and telling fortunes and stuff.
In my family..there ain't no telling.
Personally for me if I’m gonna eat something bad like butter I’d rather just eat the real stuffWe use margarine for pretty much everything in our house -- the spread for bread, and the sticks for baking and frosting.
We rarely use real butter. We spread it on paska, and I use it to make candy because margarine has too much water and oil in it for the recipe to come out right.
I don't think that I've ever had Miracle Whip, actually... I do like mayo, though. Used to hate it, but not anymore. I should try making some homemade mayo, sometime.
And, KDOG. Make deviled eggs. They are fabulous.
Yes!!!! We go through at least 1# of real butter every week but a tub of margarine about every 1-2 months!I grew up on "oleo". I now greatly prefer real butter.
