I candled the egg. I couldn't see much. It was one of the dirtier eggs. I can't tell if it is alive or internally pipped. It doesn't smell bad, so I left it.

The 4 older babies are now sticking to Molly like glue!

If you're coming from Martinsburg, it's only 2.5 hours if you go Harpers Ferry (340?) And if you planned a relay, it's not far from Morgantown to Martinsburg.

This first batch of Nankin babies is staying here, but I do have a few one-year old roos who need homes. They're super friendly.

If anyone is interested in other bantams, I've got five young Sebrights that need to go, too. One cockerel, three pullets and one that can't make up his/her mind, yet. And if I can talk my daughter into letting them go, two white Silkies, as yet "ungendered."

... and I promise, and do solemnly swear, with only ONE set of fingers crossed, to NEVER succumb to the "Oh, Aren't They Cute" sale bin again ...

Duh, I'm sorry, I read northeastern but my brain registered northwestern.
My husband travels thru that area regularly, but not as far east as you are.

Well, if you are interested in one of my boys, and your hubby is anywhere near here, I'm sure we could arrange a meeting! We are not NPIP, yet, but I get everybody tested each year for the State and County Fairs, so we are AI and pullorum free.
