My mom's philosophy pretty much was "Eat what's on the table or go hungry. And eat just one spoonful of veggies." She was always good about making sure that Dad got what he liked too, even if she couldnt stand it.
We had to take three bites - A "Try it" bite, a "Make sure I was right" bite and a "No Thank You" bite. We got to be masters at tiny bites, but we got all three in ... and sometimes realized that we actually LIKED what she was serving. I used the same philosophy with my crew ... and for the most part, it worked!

I don't remember having food problems with toddlers, but it's been a long time ago. They pretty much ate what I cooked or else they didn't eat. I don't care whether they eat on any particular meal. They'll eventually get hungry and eat.

It's husbands that cause the problems. 🤷‍♀️ They have a legitimate vote and ime not very adventurous in culinary matters though I realize mileage will vary. Nowadays I fix what I like sometimes and what he likes other times, knowing he'll have a can of chili or :sick Spaghettios if I make anything new. Meh... he's a big boy. He knows what he wants, but seriously??? 🤦‍♀️ Spaghettios. 🤷‍♀️
As I read your post, I was thinking "Spaghettios" but then I kept reading and you mentioned your obvious distaste for them. How funny!:D

:barnie:barnie:barnie:barnie:barnie:he:th

This whole cooking thing has blown way out of context/proportion/niceness/ etc.
I need a puppy picture:

Crazy Dog's Baby Picture ... She looked so sad and innocent ...

Who would have known that THIS would happen the first time she was left alone for fifteen minutes in a CLEAN house ... almost an entire year later? You can't tell from the picture, but both chairs and the bigger cat tree were moved about three feet

Hmmm... looks like the cat did it.

I just gave grimy boy a bath.

from day one with the rescue and adopted kiddos I instituted a "pinky taste" for something new and the 'little serving' of this or that. The little serving was typically something they have had before but, it wasn't "a hit with them" so the size was approx a heeping tbsp 'at most'.

Maybe this is a dumb question but... 😐 Why do you need makeup a) in the bloom of youth and b) in the dark??? :lau I'm old and some peeps might think, "Geez! Why doesn't she paint that barn?" but I don't. I can never remember to put it on. 🤷‍♀️
You are just perfect without any make up.
