At 17, I thought I was allergic to orange juice, because every time I drank it I got violent stomach pains. We didn't figure out what it was until my ulcer started bleeding! I also spent years dealing with lactose intolerance. Once I left the abusive ex, the issue went away. I can now have ice cream and milkshakes anytime I want.
Stress does wonderful things to the body ... be sure to listen to yours!
 this is so fascinating!

What is fructose intolerant? I know I ask a ton of questions.
I called it "fructose intolerance" only because it's easier to equate it to lactose intolerance, but the proper name is "fructose malabsorption."
It's when the cells in the intestines are not able to digest or absorb fructose properly, and causes much the same symptoms as lactose intolerance.

"Fructose intolerance," on the other hand, is a rare genetic condition where the body lacks the enzyme aldolase B, which is needed to break down fructose in some crucial metabolic pathways.
It is much more serious and can lead to liver failure or death.

Does pushy and not willing to take no for an answer pretty much sum it up for you? Marines in particular. Retired not as bad but..... wow....
Yes! And with active Marines, it's in addition to the "I'm right. Always" attitude.

I thought that pretty much summed up all guys.
Nope. I knew a guy who tried to join the martial arts group I was in. We practiced slow, but we practiced to hit. He was such a gentle soul that he couldn't hit me, even going so slow that there was no way he could possibly hurt me, even by accident. One time I didn't move, and he still missed me.

:lau sounds like a good plan but I can’t live under there!!

:lau knew it!

Don’t you get bad ice storms and cold there though!? 🤔
Cold, yep, but not like Massachusetts. And we do get ice, but the true storms aren't that often. And as much as I comp, ain about them, an ice storm leaves the world looking like a crystal fairyland - every little twig and blade of grass coated with glass. It's hard on the plants, and not fun to drive in, but it's about the prettiest thing you'll ever see!

A Maryland Back Yard after an ice storm (actually just a fancy name for freezing rain)

You'll have issues no matter where you live, you have to weigh what you can tolerate. I actually LOVE the DelMarVa (Delaware/Maryland/Virginia) area. I don't think I could ever live very far from my beloved Chesapeake Bay!
