I work in outdoors in an a very hot arid climate so added electrolytes are sometimes needed to stave off heat exhaustion. But I make sure to drink plenty of plain water too.
I need a stupid amount of sodium to prevent dizziness and fainting, so I actually have to drink these things.
I STILL drink mostly plain water...

I typically do added electrolytes in one half liter of water out of every 3-4 liters of plain water during field work. Because it is so dry here, you don’t really notice how much you are sweating. And that can be bad.

But yeah. Real water for the win!!!

It's a waste of money my dude. Nothing is healthier or more easily absorbed into the body than plain water.
Well it says it has something in it that like breaks down the cells and gets it into the bloodstream faster or something? Idk  it does seem to work well and quickly for me though haha but this is good to know! I mostly only drink regular water though but do use this if I’m like out in the sun and getting heat exhaustion or whatever for the extra little boost haha

Not in Ceciltucky (Cecil County,) it's not ... and really, ANY metropolitan area is expensive, and none so much as New York - or even Boston! Besides - DC, Baltimore and Phillie are over an hour away. Close enough to visit, but far enough away to avoid/ignore when you want to ... which is most of the time, for us!
Thanks! Very interesting. :love

Sounds like a pretty basic electrolyte powder with some overblown marketing. Nothing wrong with it IMO, but I do think it is important, especially if you are dehydrated, to drink an equal or much greater amount of plain water for every packet/glass/bottle of electrolyte stuff. I have worked with a lot of students who are new to fieldwork and this is something I harp on a lot. I will step off my soap box now 😊

Yes this is exactly what I drink.
Most people really just need to drink more water, though. That isn't a shortcut or anything.. I dislike their marketing.
It’s good stuff 😊 and yeah that’s true! Acting like it solves everything or whatever when more water would do the trick haha I think I’ve actually been drinking it a little too much lately  I originally got it for the rare times when I was getting sick or whatever from the heat but now I’ve been drinking one every day especially after not drinking enough all day.
