Kiki's Quail Cage Build

I change mind mind so often I'm almost sure it won't end up looking anything like this drawing I just made.

Would never laugh! Promise! I only laugh WITH people! You did a great sketch! Let's see what it turns out like. Plans are like rivers, I find. Always changing, picking up some things and depositing others. Going with the flow is the best way to see them to completion!!!

More art work.
The floor wood pieces.

And all of the pieces of woods I need to cut:

I haven't yet figured out the exact length of the small, medium and large pieces of wood but it looks like I will only need three different sizes!
:woot

Sizes might help you, but you can always just cut one, see if you like the length, then cut the others with it as a template!

I'll get the correct sizes down once I get out there and start cutting.
I think I might be ready to start the cutting.
I'm trying to make sure I'm ready for that part.
Might need to draw a few more things though.

Word of advise. Measure twice and cut once. I thought could do mine for $150 and ended up over $250 because of wasting wood with miscuts, etc. Love my 6’x2’x 6’ two section pen though.

Always measure more than once. In fact, my husband and I will typically measure, do something else (not cutting) then return and measure again. If it's different, measure AGAIN! Because something isn't right. Then compare. If you measured the same thing twice, measure again to be sure. Lol Seriously though!!! :thumbsup

Nice @Danny C. Can I ask...if you had to build again would you still make it this high...the height...does it get used?

Yes, I am 6’5” tall, but have the height because if they want to stretch wings was my thought. Actual cage and box areas are about 36”x24” each side. Plans are chicks on one side after hatch then after new batch they will go on other side then time to go outside. Rotate
