I think maybe Elk's point is that you don't have to make the excuses because you've done nothing wrong. Whether someone seems to be teasing or not, you can simply ignore them or make a joking, sassy reply or whatever seems good to you. What?? This doesn’t even make any sense.
I am still so confusedwhat bait? I wasn’t purposely doing anything

That wasn’t how I interpreted it but I’m sure I probably interpreted it wrong as usual hahahI think maybe Elk's point is that you don't have to make the excuses because you've done nothing wrong. "But everyone does it" isn't a valid excuse for anything that's wrong to do, however even if it were valid, it's not applicable in your situation because you haven't done or said anything that requires either an excuse or an apology. Stand your ground (nicely when possible). There's nothing wrong with you more that with anyone else. Everyone loves having you here & misses you when you're gone.![]()

Thanks, those are all good points!! Definitely need to work on it hahahThese threads can be a bit of a rough-housing atmosphere. It's like puppies play-fighting. Also people get tired and may sometimes say cranky or ill-advised things. Sometimes people (not here necessarily, but anywhere, really) say things that could hurt my feelings, but I just figure they most likely didn't mean it that way and so I ignore it. (And they most likely DIDN'T mean it that way.) Blow it off. It's not worth feeling bad over.
Going to bed for reals now.![]()
