American Girl dolls are creepy, too. We just got rid of a few, and I was messing around with one... its eyes rattled. Shake the doll, and the eyes made this creepy klatta-klatta-klatta sound.
Oh, and that same doll's eyes wouldn't close in the same way, exactly -- one would get a bit hung up and then jump to match the other.
And let's not talk about how you can twist their heads around backwards.

My sister was into porcelain and American Girl dolls. I'm getting the willies just thinking about their creepy little eyes staring at you from the dresser.
I always was—and still am—a stuffed animal kinda gal.
