The first time we took DD into the swamp for a houseboat weekend, she had to wear earmuffs to sleep. She said the frogs were too loud and she couldn't sleep.

I live where it is cold, seems like forever winter.. One of the things I love is in the spring when the frogs get into our pond, and the peepers. Sound can be quite loud, open up all our windows at night and enjoy it

I don't know. My department royally screwed me over this semester. I understand it's shitty for everyone—including my advisor who really let me down—so I've said my piece and I'm trying to implement a backup plan.
Anyway, our schedule is still subject to change at any time. As far as I know, only one of my classes is in person (although every class has a remote option available).

Yes they messed up my classes. I was told I was guaranteed a spot in anatomy and then didn't get it. And because I trusted them for so long (waiting for my force request to go through), I ended up having to scrounge for electives that were already full.
It just means I'll have to take several difficult core classes all at once next semester in order to stay on track, which is going to suck.
Lots of people are in my position right now so I'm trying not to complain. They couldn't even fit all of the graduating seniors into anatomy, even though it's technically a junior level class.
Obviously a huge flaw in the college.

Yes they messed up my classes. I was told I was guaranteed a spot in anatomy and then didn't get it. And because I trusted them for so long (waiting for my force request to go through), I ended up having to scrounge for electives that were already full.

How are people supposed to graduate and be vets or whatever they do without doing/knowing anatomy!? And I’m sure everything’s even more of a mess than normal right now but this seems to be a regular thing even pre Corona? Although it’s a big school too, right? But still! They need to fire someone I really hope it all works out!!!

Yes, this is a regular thing lol. My department's advisors and class registration are infamous for this sort of crap.

Loved Perth! Although the trip to Rottnest island was my favorite. Gorgeous beaches and the little quokkas were too cute


Meeting is the for the International Council of Archaeozoologists. All the coolest ancient critter specialists will be there Solely for the awesome meetings of course, and not just because it is in Cairns this time.
