My hair would totally get caught in there

Same. My hair is down past my waist and it's thicker than Trisha Paytas's left thigh. I live in a bun. But then have to take it down because headaches.

My problem is that I would pull it up wet... And I pull it up tight... And then I sleep on it.

The rubbing around causes the breakage around my face.

I had that happen when I was working for the Park Service and wearing a tight fitting hat for 10 hours a day. All the baby hairs around my face started to break off. I called my husband crying about it cause I thought I looked like Oiwa. (Maybe @Nabiki will get that reference. I am sure no one else will).

If I leave my hair in a bun for more than a day or so, it needs no help to stay put, pencil or otherwise. lol

I don't think so. The coils are not very tight especially after you stretch it around your hair.


ETA the tie is really small out of the box. You stretch it out to use it.

Maybe not! Idk! I should try it! I just know my hair is super curly and frizzy and I’m sure would wrap tight around those coils when it dries and be a pain to get out.
