Kildeer Baby Help

An associate at my school just brought me a baby kildeer that was abandoned by the playground. (Or so she thinks.) I have been in contact with the local university vet school and they said I could bring it there, but it would be best if I could get it back outside. If I do it now, the students will obviously mess with it. Do you think it would be okay if I waited until after school today and released it outside? What do you think it's chances for survival would be? I have it under a heat lamp right now.

Well I heard there was a second baby that had been blown away as well. (It is INCREDIBLY windy here in Iowa today). So I went outside to put the two babies together at least. I couldn't find the other baby, but I did find the parents. So I put the baby out in the middle of the play area where the parents were looking and hopefully they reunite themselves.
