I feel awful… I have been candling my eggs every night as I love to see the chicks moving about. Well today I accidentally dropped one, it started bleeding from a crack. I immediately tried patching it up with nail polish but I knew it had already passed. No movement at all from candling i gave it a couple of hours but the vessels I could were shrinking. I cracked it open to find a beautiful almost fully developed barred Plymouth Rock chick (day 14)

I have banned myself from candling the others and will just have to trust they make it to lockdown.

I am so, so sorry. I'm sure this was very devastating for you! :hugs:hugs:hugs I actually happened to do the same thing today... I dropped an egg and it began bleeding, though I was able to patch it up with candle wax, and I am just hoping and praying it will make it.

I know how horrible it feels to accidentally do this, and I am so sorry this happened to you as well! :hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs
