My 6, 9-month-old pullets had recently killed my (favorite) polish chick, Kevin. I don't know for sure if he was a boy or girl but all of the behavior and crest signs of a boy were all over him. When I had put the chicks in the coop to explore it before integration, I forgot to bring them back in when I left for a few hours. When I came back he was ripped apart and dead in the run.

But the other three didn't even look touched.

Is this because he was (most likely) a boy?

Was he a lot younger than the pullets? Because I don't think the pullets would of killed him because of his sex, especially if he wasn't mature yet. Polishes and silkies tend to get dominated by the flock since they are smaller birds and the chickens don't like their appearance.
