No the dog is not more important the the chickens but the dog was acting on instinct thats just how dogs are. That dog doesnt look at the chickens as someones pet it looks at it thinking food. I wasnt the dogs fault. I have four well behaved dogs and I have trained many many dogs not to eat chickens. Its just an impulse. They dont realize they are doing something wrong
