A broody? Has Sour been dancing?

Gotta love that broody 'tude!

At first she gave a big helping of stinkeye, but after putting five eggs under her she gave me this

The last time I had some broody hens, I sang "The Broody Song" to them to show them my appreciation (and they sat on the eggs anyways!)

I always sneak mine some scratch in a dish and set up a quart waterer in the corner of the nest box.

Mine had set up nestkeeping in a horse stall. I moved each of them (there were a total of 4) into a separate cage. Incredibly, they all continued to set, for something like 6 weeks ( I had ordered some eggs, and there was some confusion and delay) Amazing girls, so dedicated!
