Doing a little bit of promoting for a local auction. http://www.cuevasauction.com/auction/auctionitems.php?auctionID=55
This is in Kiln, MS. It's been done before but they stopped it for whatever reason. hasn't been done in a year or more. Started up around 5 years ago. It used to draw a huge crowd. I enjoyed going to it. Probably won't be buying anything this time. Possibly selling. Who knows. But if you'd like to go to it, i'll be posting a day or so in advance if i'm going. So if you'd like help when you get there, showing you around or whatever, I might could help. Like I said, they haven't had it in over a year so things have probably changed. But I have a little bit of experience with some of the ppl out there and who to steer clear of when buying if you can help it. If it's like it used to be, they line cages up in a line and go down the line auctioning them off. Like a typical auction. you bid and see if you can win it. They'll have all kind of different birds there. As well as rabbits and other small critters. I've seen all assortments of Parrots both large and small. all the way down to finches and parakeets. Plenty of ducks, geese, chickens, quail, guineas, turkeys, and other sorts of poultry. They've been known to auction off cages, incubators, brooders, and other equipment. So it's a good sale to go to. But like i said, there are some ppl there that don't have any qualms about bringing sick birds to the auction. I've bought birds there before that nearly wiped out my flock. So long as you're super careful buying and then really careful to put the new birds in isolation, you should be ok. If you have any more questions, you can message me. Or if you'd like to perhaps meet up there, message me and we can exchange name and number and if I go, i'll try and meet up with you there and help you any way I can.
