Kind of a new member

Hello everybody. I actually signed up last year, but never introduced myself. I'm fairly new to the chicken scene. Got my first chickens as a total surprise about a year and a half ago. A friend of mine remembered me saying once that I would love to have chickens one day. So, when her son found a pair of chicks running on the street and after verifying with the neighbors that no one lost their chickens, she thought about me and that's where my journey began. Actually, I haven't had to purchase any of our chickens. They've all been given to us. We've become a chicken sanctuary. Lol. I'm not sure what breeds my first two chickens are. They're mixed breed I'm sure. The last three are a sultan hen, a silkie rooster, and a RIR rooster. Btw, I love BYC!
