Kind of gross foot problem...have questions.. PICS ADDED

Yeah, the foot is very sad. Many of their feet are sad. But I haven't shown you her back....here it is.

I'm very glad they are with me - I am doing the best I can for them.

It looks like bumblefoot to me. I've had two hens who had it and both had a big marble size swelling in webbing between toes. Ruth had it on both feet. On the first hen I was able to remove the small black dot on bottom of foot (and I think I see one in your photo) and soak and cut and dig and finally get the plug to pop out like a zit.

In Ruth's case I got one foot to work with that method but I couldn't get it all out of the second foot, which I operated on two days later to give her a rest. On that foot, I could feel the hard core in the web between the toes so I finally cut the top and out it popped. Looked like a big, dry kernel of corn. She had two in the pad and one in the lump between toes.

So it looks like in your hens case it was mostly between the toes and finally just popped it's way out with your help. Soak in Epsom Salt and stuff with Neosporin and bandage for a day or two to keep out dirt.

I also gave Penicillin for a few days just for added measure. In my hens cases I caught it really early. I'm betting your girls have had it for a long time.
