My 5 month old drake has swallowed a piece of styrofoam! It was really small and he even went back for more after he swallowed the first piece but I got it away from him before he could eat any more. It was a really small piece, but I've read so many horror stories about impacted crops, I'm kind of freaking out. What should I do?

He'll probably be fine, especially if it was a small piece and he didn't eat any more. My chickens have gotten into foam insulation before and eaten quite a bit of that, and have all been fine. I wouldn't worry too much-- just make sure he doesn't get any more styrofoam again.

I don't think it can do much to your drake, our chickens eat styrofoam and we take it away, just be sure to do something to keep them away from it, Our chickens are not harmed by it at all but still don't let them eat it.

Wyandottes- For your profile pic is that a gray brahma?
No, its a Columbian Wyandotte.
