I know how disappointing that can be. I bought some eggs that I picked up from someone's house -so no shipping-and only one hatched!! That little chick is worth $30!! I was a little upset because some werent' even fertile! I guess you win some, you lose some

well i HAVE bought eggs off of EBAY before..
wild turkey eggs i hatched 4 out of 8 eggs....
and a few other breeds,, all low hatch rates, i just figured it was the shipping stress,, but i always got a few...

thanks all.... glad i am not the only one!!! SAD, i am not the only one!!
have not contacted the breeder... yet

I'm probably going to get a slap on the hand for this, but before anybody buys shipped eggs they are aware of the risks involved. Normally I cross my fingers for a 50% hatch rate. Sometimes you get more, and sometimes you get less, or none at all. That's the risk that a person takes when ordered shipped eggs.

I can understand that you are upset, but all I can tell you is not to give up. If you don't want to have to incubate eggs all over again, order some chicks.
