Hiya everyone!!
So, I've had my Kindle since Christmas... I just spent the last 3 days doing nothing but buying books and reading

I'm curious as to what everyone else out there is reading right now, what they've read and loved, and how they like their Kindle or other e-reader!
I have in the past downloaded 'Chickens for Dummies'

'Coops for Dummies'.. and a couple other Chicken books. Anyone else?

Hey there Squishy! I started out 3 years ago with the Sony Ereader PRS505, graduated to the Ereader Touch, and now I have an Ipad (gave the others to my sister and stepmom). I didn't like the kindle's layout...with the keyboard physically on the device....I think it takes up too much room and wastes space. The Ipad has replaced just about everything I had for portable entertainment. It's my pacifier.

I am a prolific reader of EVERYTHING fiction. I do have a few non-fiction books, including some of the ones you have, plus some organic gardening and canning books.

Happy Reading!!

Val

I have never been around the other kinds of E-readers... so I have no idea if they are better or not

I'm happy with my Kindle... especially as I love to hold books above my head while I read in bed.. and this is so light and one-handed compared to a paperback.. LOL

I have a Kindle, I love it.
I have read UR by Stephen King, neat story about a Kindle.
Some more King, and some Dean Koontz.
I just finished Trapped, a very disturbing horror tale, my 14 yr old DD is reading it now.
As you can tell we love the horror stuff.

I have a nook, 1st gen (b&w). I love it. I can expand my memory if I'd like, and all of my books can be read on my iphone via the nook app. I have to say the the e-ink is the greatest thing ever. I have no idea why barnes and noble made a nook color (yes I do, to compete with ipad) as it's a total waste if you actually want to READ. Those pretty shiny screens just don't do it for me.

I have a lot of classic works on my nook as well as books by gaiman, mieville, pratchett, tolkein... etc.

I got my kindle for Christmas. I read so much. I recently got an iPad for work (ya, right) and I put the kindle app on that so I don't have to download and pay for books twice, I like them both for different reasons. Many more free books and prices are better on kindle than for iBooks thru iTunes. For reference books, I Still have them on the kindle but read them or study them on the kindle for iPad. For instance, Raising Chickens looks great on iPad, is ok on kindle itself, text is same, get the pretty cover and graphics on the iPad. I wouldn't have paid for iPad since I have the kindle, but couldn't turn it down for free. Also, my husband now prefers iPad to surf internet because doesn't have boot up time, very "instant". Also read blog called "I Love My Kindle" it is 99 Cents a month but he surfs free stuff for kindle and posts it, I have tons of free fiction just waiting on me in addition to my regular faces, I've been pleasantly surprised by a few of them. Search for it, I believe well worth 99 cents a month. Would love to chit chat w anyone bout my kindle!

I love my kindle! I got mine just before thanksgiving and have over a hundred books on it-all but 2 were free. I also have an IPad and use the kindle app on that as well as the free Overdrive app that let's me download library ebooks and audiobooks. I read so much more now than I used to! My husband and I carpool to work, since it is a 45 minute drive, the kindle makes it go much faster. Love it!

Oh wow, I got my Kindle for Christmas and I love it! I read a lot more now than I had in the past.

My favorite book so far is Water for Elephants, but I've read others including Pride and Prejudice (free). I also read a book by Joshua Sloacum - he was the first person to sail solo around the world. That's a very interesting book. I like the free stuff, myself!

I just wish I wasn't so picky, because I have a hard time finding things. It's very frustrating. But that's also the nice thing about Amazon - I can read reviews of the book, as opposed to the book stores. Although nothing beats a good bookstore, especially on a rainy day.

I forgot to mention that I just downloaded a book on Julia Child last night. I'm sort of obsessed with her since watching the movie Julie and Julia a few years ago. I'm also reading Omnivore's Dilema - although I can't read too much of that at once. It's sort of hard to take it all in at one time.
