I have two production blue roosters. Totally surprised to find out 2 turned out to be male. But here they are supposedly a cross between a RIR and Australorp.

I haven't, that's what makes them so pretty! Obviously some sort of bleed through being a mix. It will be interesting to see if those brownish feathers stay years later.

Probably so. Time will tell if those feathers continue to color up brown, and who knows, more feathers could brown up as the years go by! Cute photo!

I don't know much about chickens and I certainly know even less about roosters. But these two have peaked my curiosity.

They got into a fight about 3 weeks ago that really concerned me. But now I see them eating grass together. King Kong will wait for me to feed him out of my hand while I let a pushy hen go first.

They have the most funny sounding crow that makes you laugh or think, bless your heart. Not sure if they will get nicer or become aggressive once full grown.

If two boys are raised together, they will usually establish the pecking order relatively civil with minimal damage to each other, vs two unknown roosters put together that can kill each other. So what you saw was just that, one brother is letting the other know he is in charge. However keep an eye on them, once they are mature and start mating, sometimes the civil fighting can lead to injuries. Make sure they each have a small harem if hens so the arguing is minimal. Lots of space too. Handsome boys!
