I just recieved my new King Suro 20 incubator yesterday and I have been setting it up! I will be hatching chicks in my classroom (this is my third year). I have been watching the temperature reading and it varies up or down by .2 from 99.5. I am worried about this. Any suggestions? Could humidity have anything to do with it? I have it set at 45%. Thanks in advance!

So, how did your hatch go? I just set 6 eggs in a King Suro 20 that a friend lent me. This is my first experience with hatching eggs and I've been reading lots of posts about temp, humidity, etc. I'm sorry that you didn't get a response when you posted this. Do you have any advice for a newbie hatcher?

99.5 + or - .2 is outstanding..Just think how the temp.controller works .You tell it you want 99.5 it sits there at that temp. it begins to drops 99.4 then 99.3 it says temp dropping and turns on heat.then it starts to heat 99.5- 99.6-99.7 it says temp going up and it cuts off heat.It just cycles that way and it averages 99.5. Hope that helps...cva34

It may even get closer once you get a load on i t(full of EGGS)
