After she knocked several times, the door swung open. A man taller than her answered. He looked very nice and friendly. "Ah, hello, dear," he said, smiling. "What can I do for you?"

"I'm kinda thirsty." Eliza stood, walking away. She returned a minute later with two glasses of clear, cool water, offering one to Tariel.
Graciously, he gently took it from her hand and quickly started drinking it. Some dripped on his shirt.
Eliza drank her water, putting her glass down on a table when she was finished.
He mimicked her actions and let out a huge sigh. "Thanks, Eliza," he said slowly. "That was refreshing."
Eliza nodded. She plopped down on the couch.
Tariel joined her, only a few feet apart.

Tariel glanced over and asked quietly, "What are you thinking?"
"I still don't understand why they wouldn't tell us this information. Are we not trustworthy?"
Tariel scratched his chin. "Come to think of it - you're right," he quietly said. "We're part of the council too. Why would they not tell us?" He then stared at his lap.
Eliza sighed, opening her eyes a crack and surveying the room.
