Solviss tried to understand what she went through, but he wouldn't comprehend it since he was raised as a noble and life was easy. Come to think of it, what would my father think? Solviss thought. My father would never approve me being with a commoner--not even a Hybrid Elf. Solviss started to pet the top of the horse's head as he said to Winter, "You're welcome."

Solviss noticed her facial expression and the direction she looked at. "What are you looking for?" he asked, his voice sounded calmer.

As she maneuvered around the horse to see what had happened to Solviss, an arrow was seen sticking out of his flesh under his left shoulder.
