"Why," William panicked and started to sweat. "What happened?"

"Calm down" she said trying to sooth him. "Maybe they're healing? And anyway your not gonna die" hopefully, she added silently.

William breathed heavily. "Oh, that's a relief."

The boy smiled eeriely. "Well, what I did will get me the death sentence--I murdered a noble."

"The nearest healer is about two miles south, in a small town," he answered. "Although I wouldn't be able to walk that far in my condition."

"Ugh" she rubbed the back of her head. "Maybe you could wait here and I'll go to the town and borrow a horse?"

Coralie let out a light laugh. "Yea. And diving maybe" she pointed to a rock that jutted out the the mountains over the lake. "That's a great place to dive. But you need to walk up to it"
