Kipp orpingtons, Brahmas, and cochins. opinions on any or all?

I just reciently had to cull my entire flock since I brought a new bird in and it had coryza :'( probably the saddest thing I have ever had to do but I didnt want them to suffer and I also wanted to expand into different breeds.. I would like everyones opinion on Brahmas, cochins, and orp's..
 
It is an upper resperitory infecyion that once they get it it has no cure.. it is highly contagious and chances are once one bird gets it the whole coop if not entire flock will. It causes weezy sounds when breathing, bubble coming from eyes, swollen shut eyes, lack of hunger and thirst, not many actually die from it but once they have they have it for life..
